It happens all the time.

The officer sees a certain type of person and assumes the worst.

Someone in a group he may consider to be high risk or high crime.

This was a college professor. But she did have one distinguishing characteristic that causes people to be stopped many times more often than others.

I think legal professionals may become involved.

Terrirr3, I think you are talking about the college professor who was hit by the police in Phoenix. There was another incident in California where a police officer was taped holding a woman to the ground and hitting her several times.

I guess I wasn't kidding when I said it happens all the time!!!!!

In Buffalo we now have a case of an officer who worked security at bars in his free time. Repeatedly he was involved in breaking or taking phones from bystanders who were taping him when he was strong arming people.

I am SO happy these cell phone cameras exist now!

Odd bits: News reports haven't identified either one, they took her to a psych ward and why was she walking along a LA freeway? Lots & lots of questions.

They are saying that she wasn't injured. I would like to see the photos that should have been taken when they took her in. Also said the officer was wearing gloves so she wasn't hurt. I could do more damage with gloves than without.

It was sickening to watch. I thought the citizen who arrived on the scene would help the woman but by helping her be cuffed maybe he did help stop the punchesSmiley Sad
