Re: Trick or Treating out of my house and home

I had no one come to my door. had no candy to give out anyway.. give them pennies instead. saving my money on those large bags of candy which I do not need when no one comes.

Re: Trick or Treating out of my house and home

Had a good night out with my son. We saw a lot of cool costumes.

Only bad thing was that for a few minutes we were behind a woman

smoking while walking with her 2 small children. No class. Smoke

lingering behind them into groups of other kids.

Warm here too. Felt great. Sharing some candy with family. Got

juice pouches, chips, crackers, a pencil, a quarter and lots of

candy. My favorite m&ms.

It rained a lot here today and was about 50 degrees.  We only had around 100 kids--maybe a few more.  It was a slow night for this neighborhood.

It was cold today but warmed up this evening. We have had about forty and they were all really cute and so mannerly. I usually shut the lights down at 8:00 because I figure by that time the parents have the little kids home. Tonight I am going an hour longer.

We’re getting a few trick or treaters but it seems slower than in years past. We keep the light on from 6 to 8, still getting the younger kids, who are so cute. It’s a gorgeous cool night 🎃

We get full size candy bars at costco, the little kids faces when they see the candy, the parents were screaming & laughing. I said you won't see too many full size bars tonight. My husband is having so much fun watching their faces.

Re: Trick or Treating out of my house and home

Because my townhouse is located towards the back of the subdivision that I live in with a small branch of a local river running in front of it, I haven't had trick or treaters for several years now. To me, this is just another day.

Read somewhere they are thinking of making Halloween the last Saturday of the month because the kids have no school the next day & it will be easier for the parents to walk around with their kids. Makes sense to me.

We had hundreds of kids..almost out of candy and it is only seven o’clock on a nice warm evening.,,ohoh.I went out with some neighbors kids for a new perspective. We walked up to the door, rang the bell and were just ready to leave when the door flung open and a screaming witch appeared.I almost fell off the steps I was so surprised.OMG I aged 10 years for sure.I laughed so hard I got a headache. What a fun night...everyone was polite and the costumes were cute.

Re: Trick or Treating out of my house and home

Boo Hoo no trick or treaters here because I live in over-55 gated community ☹️but, I did hand out "treats" today to some golf course workers & friends --I love Halloween!  I made brownie & chocolate chip bars.  I wrapped the "treats" in festive Halloween bags & delivered at lunch time.

Then Skyped with my GD before she left to go Trick or Treating🙂.  She was a 50s diner waitress complete with her cap & pencil in her ponytail....just adorable!!!

Used to love seeing all the kids & parents who came to our home🎃🎃🎃🎃
