I haven't see a trick or treeter for years. I don't even buy candy and I live in a typical suburban neighborhood. I dont know why we never have kids around.
@Kachina624 I haven't had them for 19 years but that's bc of where I lived.
I'm back in the burbs but I know ever since the "altered candy" stories of the past, many families go to the local indoor malls where the individual stores hand out candy (has ability to participate no matter what the weather), many rural places have churches/schools that have "trunk or treat" in parking lots which is exactly what it sounds like - parents take candy to these locations bc a parking lot is much safer than kids navigating country roads.
