My mom's own personal rule was we didn't go trick or treating after the age of 12 because we were too old.

 

I don't get a lot of kids because my neighborhood has a bunch of duds who don't give out candy.  I give to anyone who is dressed in costume and comes to my door.  I almost always sit outside on the porch, even if I have to be wrapped up in a blanket. 

 

My guess is pretty soon trick or treating is going to be a thing of the past because people are so nuts anymore.
