A train ran into the Hoboken train station this morning about 9:30 est. one is confirmed dead and scores injured! It appears to be an accident. I'm asking for prayers and good thoughts for all those affected, especially the dead and injured and the first responders!

Terrible indeed and particularly frightening for those of us who commute every day or lives.

My brother takes that train into NYC every day. Thank goodness he was not on that train. Nevertheless, the destruction in Hoboken will have long term effects for commuters. Of primary importance, however, are the effects on those who were injured. I pray this is an issue of human error and not terrorism.

Local news usually knows more and sooner than national news.

Witness on platform saw engineer was slumped over as train went by without slowing down.

I was thinking the same thing. That engineer was seen slumped over...texting?? or something else.

They think it's most likely he had a heart attack or stroke

Slumped over while the train was moving sounds like a heart attack or a stroke to me.
