Trader Joes Question

Does anyone know when the Trader Joes is supposed to open a The Summit in Birmingham, AL? Thanks.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- Trader Joe's will open its first Alabama store in Birmingham in 2015.

The Birmingham store will be at The Summit Shopping Center. The store will be approximately 12,600 square feet in size.

The company today said the store will open in the second half of next year.

In 2013, AL.com readers said the store was the retailer they most wanted in Alabama.

I live in Hoover and we are getting Sprouts @ April 15 and also Whole Foods on Highway 31. Now Trader Joe's!!!!!! We have hit the jackpot.

Thanks, Hoovermom! I was hoping before Mother's Day, but I'll take it whenever it opens! My sister lives near Spain Park HS and we always go to The Summit when I visit.

I live near Hoover High School so the Summit is closer to Spain Park. BUT I will be a regular at the new Trader Joe's. Enjoy when you come to our city.
