Thank you both for your detailed comparison of Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. You have inspired DH and I to give it a go next weekend. We'd go this weekend, but we just went grocery shopping a couple of days ago and our fridge is full. I'll post back to you both after our trip.

Thanks again Smiley Happy

I went yesterday and because of the fires here in No. Ca. They had some pumpkin items, but not the usual.  Maybe where you live and next week here.  They still are my favorite store. Clerks very helpful and friendly and prices better than most.  Happy shopping and experience. Also the little ice cream cones in the freezer section are so cute and just enough for anyone who wants a taste without a lot of calories, just enough for satisfaction.

The ginger hand lotion has a very, very faint scent and lasts only long as you put it on.  I can barely smell it myself but it is a clean scent.

The Ginger line at Origins has a stronger scent but very pleasant and lasts a tad longer.

I haven't seen the apple cider hand soap; I think the ginger hand cream won't be around too long just as the rose scented had cream sold out and didn't come back.

Seasonal scents.  Not sure what may show up next-maybe peppermint lotion.

There is a Trader Joe's about 12 miles from where I live. The thing about the parking lot is that most Trader Joe's are located in strip shopping centers with quite a few stores. So the parking is limited. It is not tht Trader Joe's has bad parking just a limited amount. I have found that if I park away from the front of the store it is easier to back out.  Was there this morning around 10:30 and boy was it crowded. They are just starting to get in a few holiday items. My favorite item to purcahse is the hot pepper jelly.

The parking at our WF is much, much worse than TJ.  You take your life in your own hands when you go to our WF parking lot.

I'm sooooo jealous that you have all three.  One of the very few things I miss since moving from PA is Wegmans.  The best grocery store on the planet.   Bar none.

If I had all three, I'd be delirous.  So, I just make do with WF, TJ and Market Street.

As far as the parking at Trader Joe's, it must be something they do on purpose.  My Trader Joe's was a new build on a great big piece of empty land.  They could have just built the grocery and left the rest of the land for a parking lot.  But what did they do?  They built other stores on that property along with the TJ's so that of course, the parking is inadequate.  Down the street, my Whole Foods is a free standing store - much bigger, with a bigger parking lot.  It's always very busy, but not as aggravating as the parking at Trader Joe's.
