I do not see this as a level of decency, just a stupid move by Yahoo.
Many people love Trader Joe's, including me. I never saw the article or claim, but I sure don't see it as being about "decency." It's about pranks.
Personally, I don't like pranks, I never have. But I didn't get caught up in it because the first I heard was the post here saying it wasn't true.
I don't get shaming people who might have been upset about it. THAT is unnecessary and mean.
