Just reading all your purchases is making me hungry. DH already opened one of the chocolate star cookies to snack on. I told him it needs to last us and not to open another box until the holidays. I may have to go back soon before they sell out but it's a long drive to TJ's

@BabyYoda tee hee, I had just added those chocolate stars to my grocery list when I read your post . . . may I commend your DH on his excellent taste in snacking choices . . . Smiley Happy

@momtochloe These cookie are divine! I buy about 10 boxes so they last us a long time and DH can only see 4 boxes in the pantry. I have to hide the rest. I buy them every year and give some away at Christmas get togethers. Have you had them before? You need to stock up before they are gone. Smiley Happy

@BabyYoda oh yes my friend, I buy at least one box of those and at least one box of the mint version too.  They last for a long time and are so delicious but then again I love just about anything shortbread.  I love the chocolate they use on them . . . yum!

@momtochloe And @butterfly123 I am on a strict diet until Thanksgiving (my one splurge day) and then I go back on my diet until Christmas Eve. My DH took the plastic zip bag of star cookies (they go stale in the original box) and sat down tonight with a warm glass of almond milk and ate more! I refuse to even have one as I won't be able to stop and I am determined to lose 10 pounds before Christmas.

@BabyYoda

You will lose the 10 pounds because of your strong will power.

As a side note....can you ask your DH to eat the cookies in another room (like the garage)! I'm just joking.

Good for you for being able to stay on track and resist temptation😊

@butterfly123 Ha Hee he is the type of person who can open a chocolate bar and take one bite and put it back because that little bit satisfies him. Not me. The bag will last him all month because he will eat 2 or 3 at a time. I am determined to lose the weight and to keep it off once I do. I have a holiday dress I want to fit into that is snug on me so I think of that to get me through. Thanks for the encouragement!

I hosted our family Thanksgiving yesterday. Couple Trader Joe reviews:

We played "guess the flavor of the potato chips" - no one guessed turkey and gravy. My nephew thought sour cream and onion. At best they tasted poultry seasoning. We also dipped them into the T Joes cranberry orange relish - very good! I would repurchase the relish

The kettle cooked turkey gravy in the plastic tub in refrigerator section - if you really really like rosemary, go for it. No one touched it. Too strong of flavor.

i picked up a couple seasonal desserts (chocolate dipped pretzels) but honestly things like this sell out so fast with no restock

I like the idea of guess the flavor of the chip. Sounds like a fun day for all.

I'm dissapointed that this year they aren't offering  the chestnuts , cooked and peeled as they have the past thanksgiving time.  I put chestnuts in my stuffing and it saves time plus they were delicious , better then the ones I gave to bake and peel.  Called as we live an hour away from tne validated one nd didn't sent to drive all that way to find out they didn't hsve them,  was told they discontinued them.
