Re: Toy Crazes Through the Years 🚂

Before they had the easy bake ovens Betty Crocker sold her little bake sets.  In 1953 i would lay down my life for one.  I have to admit, I still get a theill seeing one.  I loved to bake.  Thise little cake pans, pie tins, bread tins and those little muffin tins were beyond cute.  But back then, they werent "cute" they were real.  I bakes in the oven. The muffins were a hit, as were the banana bread.  When the mixes were gone, I had to go back to the flour and water method, and I would bake that.  Talk about cement.  But it was fun.  Came with an apron and cookbook.  Lol

I love colorforms.  I thought they were so cool. I still have my Etch-A-Sketch and of course, Monopoly.  I tell my great-nieces and nephews that we got ripped off when we were kids because crayons were just crayons and now you can do all kinds of things with them.  Same thing with Play-Doh.  I have been tempted to go out and buy myself some washable or blendable crayons. LOL

Re: Toy Crazes Through the Years 🚂

I was given a Cabbage Patch doll for Christmas by my bestie when I was in my 20's the doll still sits with all of the other toys on the piano bench at my Dads house.

My brother had trolls that he loved I wonder is he still has them.

I think Chia pets are still around.  Some now sprout herbs I believe?

Colorforms-yes!  I loved my little set.  *sigh*

Also had the troll dolls.

Orignal CLUE board game.

Magic 8 Ball.  I also bought one years and years later for GS so they were still making them but they definitely were smaller.
