@SilleeMee   Oh, yes, I'm right there with you.  I will not permit ANYBODY into my home with shoes.  I always have an adequate supply of "booties" that workmen can slip over their boots/shoes to do any repair work needed.  The same applies to deliverymen.

Sometimes I get a slight stare of "resistance" from those who find it a chore to get those booties on; however, I insist.  The thought of filthy shoes entering my living space is simply too much for me to even contemplate!!

I used to eat lunch with a guy that was diligent about brushing afterwards.  He'd go in the bathroom off our lunch room and I'd joke that he probably washed his dinner containers in the toilet.  Always cracked me up.

Maybe they were working construction or something, living out of the truck and looking for work, who knows.  It would seem out of need rather than just to p.o. others.

We do let people come in with shoes on. We had a home daycare and one time a dad dropped off his kids and he was barefoot. He had the dirtiest feet. My wife didn't say anything to him but she was totally grossed out.
