Ran to Sherwin Williams for more paint. Next door is a Dollar Something. Two guys had obviously come out of there and were standing beside their truck brushing their teeth. They were spitting onto the parking lot, then rinsing with bottled water and spitting that out as well.
Needless to say we took a wide path avoiding them knowing that some poor unsuspecting shopper would park there and step into their mess. Some people are just nasty.

I'm so sorry I opened this thread.

I used to go on dive trips with a large group of other divers. One time we were somewhere in the Caribbean. One of my friends was a dentist. When we went on these trips we would frequently all sit at a big table and eat our meals together.
This guy (the dentist) would sit right there at the table, after eating, and start flossing his teeth. Needless to say, it was a bit off-putting.

That is bad! What are people thinking?

And people wonder why I tell them to take off their shoes before coming inside my house.
I never wear sandals in public places either. I don't particularly want to wash my feet when I get home.

Meh, I've seen worse. That wouldn't have "grossed me out".

Same here. It's not a shock, either. If you know me enough to come into my home, you've already heard me mention we don't wear shoes in the house. Plus, I step out of mine before stepping inside.
Sure there are times people do come in and wear shoes (I'm not talking workmen---cause I alway put ram board down).
I do wear sandals, but am always washing my feet at the hose out back. I keep a pump bottle of Dr. Bronner's in the garage and soap my feet up. I don't wear leather or suede so it's not an issue getting my sandals soapy and soaking wet.

Wouldn't bother me at all.

At least they brush their teeth... Just sayin'...

I prefer people to wear shoes in my house. I don't want unpleasant smelling, possible fungus infected bare feet about. Once people remove their shoes they tend to feel free to put their feet on sofas and chairs.
There's a reason businesses have, no shoes no shirt no service, signs on their doors.
