Even watching Kirsten exercising for an hour....and the discounted price of this machine...can't get me motivated to work out......I think I'm allergic to physical activity!!

LOL!!! I feel like that sometimes. If you find some type of exercise you are my likely to stick with it.

I bought myself a fibit & started walking more. I now walk 4+ miles per day 6 days per week. I have more energy plus feel better.

I bought the Pilates Chair Q sells 2-3 yrs ago & have been using it ever since. I feel better after using it. I stand up straighter & notice it when I'm walking. I'm not slouching like I was when I sit in a chair. I also have a recumbent bike. I can watch TV while using it or my Pilates Chair.

I probably used ours half a dozen times.  I sold it at a garage sale.......couldn't help the guy get it in his car fast enough.  Lost $$$$ big time.  Same story for several other pieces of equipment.  We still have a huge piece that has weights hooked to it......I don't even know what it is called.  It is great for hanging clothes on LOL.

We walk for our exercise.  Living life is our exercise.....cheaper and WAY more fun!

I have a Total Gym, my cat loves to lay on the padded seat/back support.

On the other hand, I hate to exercise!  My d-i-l had this contraption and wasn't using it, so I took it.  Ha!  The joke is we get our exercise clearing the cobwebs out of the way just to get to our exercise room!

@tends2dogs, some people thrive on exercise of some kind and others just can't get into it. For the latter especially, I think that barring physical or weather limitatons, walking is far more appealing  and more doable than some big contraption.

One other change in mindset can help the more sedentary: Don't try to economize your movements. Don't look for the closest parking space; don't bemoan having to upstairs or downstairs again. Little things add up.

@tends2dogs.  You think you took a loss on your Total Gym?  I GAVE mine to my plumber.  All he had to do is admire it and it was his.

Re: Total Gym....

[ Edited ]

I've got mine listed on the Facebook Marketplace Woman Very Happy  If this thing doesn't move soon, I'm taking it to 5 star pawn Woman Very Happy

The videos that came with mine irritated me.  Clearly they were edited to remove the set up between reps.  Either that or the instructors were going from one set up machine to another.  It was hard to keep a rhythm when I had to stop the DVD, set up the machine the way the instructor had it and then resume.

Exersizing isn't in my genes...lol  You can't fight genetics...lol    I walk for 30-40 minutes most days of the  but I've given up any hope that I'll ever do more than that.  I'm closer to 60 than I am to 50 and the women I know who do exersize are not  any healthier or in any better shape than I am.  My days of buying  exersize equipement....are over.  My walking gives me the cv benefits I need.
