I am thinking of hitting Toronto soon. Are there any must see things that you would recommend to do?

I am definately going to the zoo and a side trip to Niagra Falls.

I am sure that there is a city tour, but are there any must see things in this lovely city?

Thanks!

My place of birth. Lived there till I was 7 and later when I was a single working girl. Plenty to do and see. Loved some of the women's clothing shops on Dundas Street. I'm sure you'll find plenty to do and see. Enjoy.

Please take a moment to give our beloved Kiko the giraffe a "hey" from the Carolinas.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

@Marp

YES! I am anxious to see Kiko! I follow the giraffe cam and have enjoyed watching Autumn and Walter and the baby!

There are a few new zoo babies that are in Toronto! Rhino, polar bear, two panda cubs, and lion cubs.

Very exciting!

Took my boys there many times when they were small ... you know, before their teenage years ... we loved it.

Toronto is a great city.  A smaller version of NYC.  Take the Hop On/Hop Off bus to see an excellent tour of the city highlights.  Visit the CN Tower and take a tour of the Blue Jays stadium if you are so inclined.  We liked Chinatown and found authentic Chinese food that was out of this world.  Visit the Hockey Hall of Fame.  Beautiful museum and art gallery.  See a Broadway play at night.  Drive down to see Niagara Falls, especially the Canadian side.  Absolutely breathtaking.  Here is a Trip Advisor page with other features.

Have fun!

Only "stopped" there once.   Was coming back from Montreal when the plane made an "unscheduled" stop in Toronto.    The Mounties boarded and "escorted" a large tour group off the plane before it entered U.S. airspace.    Kinda scary..............

I love Toronto museums, especially the Art Gallery of Ontario. I'm a fan of what's called The Group of Seven, and the collection of their work is excellent. Shopping on Yonge is great too. Theatre in Toronto is comparable to Broadway. Speaking of theatre, if you're going to Niagara Falls, try to visit Niagara on the Lake. It's a gorgeous town less than half an hour from the Falls where they also have the Shaw Festival, great theater. You can take in a matinée...or you can visit one of the many wineries in the area. Have a great trip!
