Will county has a tornado warning until 12:30 pm, I believe.  One was spotted further south.  It's dark outside and raining cats & dogs now.

I am in Central Illinois.  Last night a funnel was spotted in McLean County and there were torrential rains.  Part of I55 is closed indefinitely.

@4kitties    Glad you are okay.  What happened to I55?  flood waters?  We have had rain for 3 or 4 days in a row.  Right now the sky has lightened up and the rain has stopped.  I was extremely surprised about the tornado hitting  Naperville and that was very closed to me.  If that tornado was wider I probably would have been in it.  It is scary especially when the tornados hit at night.  Have a good weekend.

Yes, flood waters washed out some of the pavement.  I will try to post a photo as I do not think I can post a link to the article.  

I am several counties away so we were safe from any damage or flooding.

I am in Chicago and it was crazy.  Tornado sirens going off and unbelievable downpours.  Don't think a tornado hit right around here but it will be bad through the rest of the day.  I had someone in this morning to do a small repair near the roofline of my house, about three stories high.  Can't believe he got the work in between the storms.  Stay safe everyone.

The system has moved into southwestern Michigan. 

My county currently has a tornado watch, a severe thunderstorm warning and two flood advisories. 

There are active tornado warnings in two counties around us, one in a county further north, with a couple confirmed funnels on the ground. 

I'm not in any danger - just enjoying watching the TV weather folks geeking out a bit. Fortunately the duo on air right now are the "facts, not hype" of broadcasters.
