Yesterday late afternoon, I had a few minutes (hours) of intensity 😱 because my DD and family were traveling by car from Iowa back to PA. 

One right after another I was checking weather for each state they passed thru.

I was surprised to learn they were making the whole trip back without stopping overnight.

When I asked why they left so late, DD said are you worried? 
Yes I said because the bad storms we have had every day developed late afternoon.

So they decided to get a hotel room for themselves and the two kids.

Well, there were no hotel rooms! Because of not only those who booked them for graduations but also because the tornadoes had devastated homes and those people had needed rooms!

This is a PSA for anybody who these considerations might apply to.

My fam made it home ok...it was slow-going for them.  I got word at 2:30 AM that they were home safe.
