there are so many but keep it down to three (3).

Bell Book & Candle - Kim Novak, James Stewart

The Thrill of It All - Doris Day, James Garner

Gidget movies with Sandra Dee

There is one with Joan Crawford but I cannot remember the name of it so I left it out.  Joan was a restaurant owner.  Share your top 3.

Mildred Pierce.  That is a good one!

The 1960's version of Cinderella. Leslie Ann Warren as Cinderella. I believe Ginger Rodgers and Gregory Peck were also in the movie.

I don't like to think of it as "old" but it remains my all-time favorite since its release in 1968.

Guess that's old enough.

What a fun thread this is!

Besides many already mentioned, I have to add "Arsenic and Old Lace"  1943

I know…, that you know…, that I know… we both have great taste in movies.

(a play on words with The Lion In Winter for those that don’t know).

@Katcat1 -

It is so interesting that some of my favorites are shared with so many others.

Imitation of Life -- If this doesn't make you cry, there is something wrong with your tear ducts!

Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy -- Way too funny and extremely well done, even by today's standards

Now Voyager -- Classic Betty Davis

The Sound of Music -- Julie Andrews at her best (in my opinion)

Oklahoma! - Shirley Jones and Gordon MacRae, and the bad guy played brilliantly by Rod Steiger!

One of my favorite old movies is:
Gaslight starring Charles Boyer & Ingrid Bergman. I try to watch it when it is on Turner Classic Movies.
