@qualitygal   Ray Harryhausen!  Another fan here.  It's amazing to think of how  those movies were made.  No computer generated images.  Those creatures had to be positioned BY HAND.  Move the model just a bit. take couple of frames of film.  go back and move the model a bit more, take another few frames of film.  It was a Cinimatic marvel back then to see on the silver screen.

Great trio! I love these 3 movies too!

@Katcat1

I love lots of old movies. I prefer rewatching them than watching most newer movies.

Interesting combination, but I really love Hitchcock movies and the old movie musicals!

You posters have already listed my favorites many times over, so I'll just add my favorite lighthearted comedy.....The Long Long Trailer with Lucille Ball/Desi Arnaz.

I think we all agree that the oldies were the real thing.....very different from whatever the stuff is called that's on our large and small screens today. And celebrities had class in so many ways. Not sure what "celebrities" of today are known for, unless it's for having their personal plastic surgeons and multiple spouses. They certainly fall short in the genuine talent dept.

@wilma   I know what you mean.  The older movies had less violence and were family oriented which we really need today.
