Tooth Extraction Advice

After a failed root canal and root amputation on my third upper molar, I have to have the tooth pulled tomorrow. Should I go for a dental implant? Any suggestions on what music I should play on my MP3 player during the procedure? I'm not too anxious but want it over with!
