If it's this warm in February, what's summer going to be like?

That's exactly what I've been saying. It was 75 in SF a week or so ago, and in the 70s several other days.

I don't know but I thought they were blaming the weird weather on El Nino or something or other.

Actually Denver has some really nice weather. They have sun 300 days a year (she told me and I looked it up). She said they put expensive stuff on their roads and Va uses the cheap stuff and that's why the roads are so bad. She said Colorado has tons of money from all of their legal pot! Ha!
Denver also can get hotter than hades. My aunt lived in an unairconditioned high rise for seniors facing West. She had a grand view of the mountains but her apartment was uninhabitable during hot spells.
Those roads were built long before they had pot money.

No, she says whatever the put on the roads works better than what we use in the Washington, VA and Maryland area.
That's one of the many reasons why they have to close down the government when a flake falls.
When I was a kid in Va schools never closed. However, we all mostly walked to school. We got a lot more snow then than we do now.

This is what I go by. When I was there it was nice weather. I like Denver but not as much as Virginia.

The weird weather is most likely affected by climate change due to global warming.
El Nino occurs naturally as far as I know.

I have a theory that I posted a couple weeks ago in a different thread. Remember when the gas leak at Porter Ranch was spewing hot gas into the atmosphere for at least 4 months? That was an estimated 80,000 metric tons of mostly methane into the atmosphere. Think it changed things up a bit? I do and not good for CA at all.

I don't know if it could affect the weather but that gas leak was horrible.

Saying it might snow a little one day next week. I don't work so I don't have to go out in it.
Of course all of you know how 'the world ends' in this area when it snows (DC shuts down). You'd think the Government would worry because if everyone sees the sky doesn't fall in when the gov't doesn't work everyone might get ideas.....Ha!
It's funny though because when daughter visited in December from Denver she kept saying she was freezing. She said the weather here in Va is 'damp'. I know what she means. It feels like it goes through you. The temp isn't that low, it's the dampness that gets you.

Is that where the term "pot holes" comes from?
