It'll be on at 10p on Animal Planet.
No, I didn't get the chance to meet Pete, the host of the show.
But I did get to see all of the technical equipment that is used to make one of these episodes.
I can't wait to watch it!

Those tree houses are gorgeous! One episode, a window cost $17K. Wonder what the whole house cost?

SKY-HIGH REDWOOD RETREAT: JANUARY 31 @10PM E/P
A nature-loving woman in Humboldt County, California, asks Pete and his crew to build a treehouse that pushes their skills to the limit. She feels cramped in her home and wants a permanent residence 60 feet up in the area’s giant redwood trees. Pete and crew take the comforts of home to new heights in this bohemian-chic, tri-level treehouse, which boasts a bathroom, lounge and bedroom loft spread out throughout three floors with low-hanging lights, tapestries, modular furniture and an overall genie-in-a-bottle aesthetic. The owner dreams of being able to see the Pacific Ocean from her cozy forest perch atop the redwood canopy, and Pete knows that he and his crew are the only ones who can deliver!

I love this show but can't imagine what these tree houses cost. I bet it's a small (or not so small) fortune. They are just beautiful!!

Thanks Yuban. I had guessed between $75 and $100K so I wasn't too far off.

My niece encouraged me to watch the show last night. She has engineering training and works in the construction industry. Lovely lady -- just wanted to add that -- but this is up her alley. She wants to vacation in the Seattle area -- in the tree house lodging with community dining. Thanks for posting this.
