Toni is ready for Trick or Treat, in her Witch costume.

Her dress is made from vintage black organdy, lined with black cotton and her cape is made from a cotton Halloween print. Her hat is made of black felt. She is

wearing a little Jack O'Lantern pendant on an orange ribbon.

Toni is holding her little Jack O'Lantern that she hopes to fill with candy.

Toni and her little black cat Tiny, wish everyone a

Re: Toni is Ready for Trick or Treat

@Kachina624   Thank you. Halloween has always been a   favorite holiday in our family.

My oldest daughter got married at a surprise wedding

at my house on Halloween.

Everyone thought that they were just coming to a Halloween party.

It was such fun decorating the house, making the food

and the little Jack O' Lantern favors.

Our guests were so surprised when she came down the stairs in her beautiful white gown, accompanied by bagpipe music.

I had a wedding cake made with white frosting and decorated with orange and black. She cut the cake with a real

sword. We served champagne.

It was a night to remember.

@Biftu   You can barely get to Salem, during October, with all the tourists.

My son works in Salem and yesterday, he had to go

downtown to the bank. There were so many tourists, they were even walking in the streets, blocking traffic.

Next week will be even worse. All roads leading to Salem will be backed up for miles.

Several years ago, my daughter and I went to Salem

on Halloween and we took a bus. It let us off at the Witch House. Train or bus is the only way to go, if you live near Salem. People come from all over this country and from Europe, for the Halloween season. We met some people from London.

The crowds have really grown, over the past 30 years. Many people think that it is like Disney and don't realize that it is an actual city where people live and work.

Some people even ask where the Hocus Pocus house is! Most of that movie was actually filmed in California, where that house is. A few scenes were filmed in Salem.

@Enufstuff Etsy!  Searched for doll house sized candy.

Re: Toni is Ready for Trick or Treat

@Bookplate   Thanks. Years ago, when I had a gift shop, I made and sold dollhouse miniatures. Some were little toys, foods and accessories. I baked little salt dough pies in bottle caps and braided loaves of bread in my toaster oven.

I never saw miniature candy packages, but that was forty years ago and there must be so much more available now.
