@Enufstuff  Dear Donna,

Once again, another doll masterpiece.  Your artistic talent and skills are absolutely perfect.  Shirley will be the star of the show at her theatre performances.  And who stole the country's heart like that little darling?  Even today, many of us enjoy the little moppet's classic movies.

adorable movies.

Yes, it would be a great idea to combine all your sweet dolls into a book.  Combined with some pictures of little Shirley, with your gift of entertaining stories, it would be a real hit.

I don't know how to post pictures here,  but my mother,  born in 1919, was a dead ringer for Shirley.  Angelic face and quite a mop of blonde curls.

I did like to play dolls when I was a little girl, mostly baby dolls.  My big love was teddy bears, and still is.  I have culled my collection to a few favorites.  But love dolls, too.

My daughter did play with dolls somewhat, and she had a collection of small international dolls on shelves.  Her big interest in life was music, from very early through high school mainly

piano, but also flute. She married later in life, so no children.  She does dote on her niece and nephew, but no room in niece's place for the doll collection.  It is packed away.  My granddaughter loved the American dolls, and had quite a nice setup of furniture and clothing bought mainly from Etsy. She loves art and has taken all kinds of dancing lessons for years.  Now into modern dance.

I will return to the other site a bit later on.  I have been concentrating on sorting out, throwing out, and donating stuff this long suffering house.  We have been collectors who never knew when to stop.

Once my son went to school, I went to school, as I have told you.

Upon graduation, I worked full-time, and my children took my time and energy.  When I retired, my dear momma got sick. After several years, she passed, and one ailment t after another - lucky nothing that killed me.  And by nature, DH and I are both savers.

So there is the story.  Do not know how much longer we will be here. Who knows?  If I had your talent, I would be devoting myself to producing such lovely artful pieces.  As is the usual case, my kids have all they can handle.

I am sorry I missed Shirley's debut.  I do hope you are displaying your work behind glass, where everyone can see and enjoy.

Oh, and during the hot weather, all I want to eat are salads.  DH somewhat, but likes to grill.  I like chicken and fish, but have lost my taste for meat.  So different from how we used to eat.  We do have a farm nearby where they sell quite an assortment of goodies, including their ice cream.  Might sound ?, but their ginger ice cream is heavenly.

Your outfit for your anniversary dinner sounds so beautiful.  What a special evening, such a romantic dinner.  I love amethyst, as well.  Investing in classic stones and pieces never go out of style.

We are getting ready for a pick-up of our donations by the Vietnam Vets this Friday.  A great cause.

With love and admiration,

Pam
