@SportyShorty07   Hi Louise,

Your are so sweet. I'm glad that seeing Toni in her outfits, brightens your day. It is fun for me to create the outfits and post them with little stories.

There will be one more summer dress for her farm vacation.

I started making that one and will post it before the end of the month. Then it will be "Back To School".

If you want to post any of your outfits in "Fashion", I will try to name them for you.  That would be fun.

Your lemon pepper chicken recipe is delicious and I have made it a few times. We all love it. I use chicken tenders, as we like white meat. I cook a couple of plain ones for Katie. She loves chicken in broth. She is a spoiled girl.

Yesterday, I took my sister-in-law shopping and we had lunch at the Cheese Cake Factory. After that, I picked up a few things at the supermarket, one being their roasted chicken.  So it will be chicken tonight and I will cook red potatoes and some green beans for dinner.

Have you tried the Blueberry Muffin recipe? I will have to make them again soon. Everyone loves them.

Enjoy your day and your lemon pepper chicken.

I'm sure that your family will enjoy dinner tonight.

                                               Take care,

                                                         Donna

@spiderw    Thank you so much. I'm glad that you enjoy seeing Toni and her fashions and that it brings back happy memories for you.

I have always loved pastel colors for baby's and children's clothing, especially for summer. My mother always did too. Years ago, that was what you mostly saw for babies,  toddlers and young children.

In recent years, I have seen darker colors for infants clothing and black for toddlers and young children. My mother never liked black on young children and neither do I.

Toni dolls seem to portray little girls, aged 5-8, so I like to dress them as little girls at that age, in the styles that were in fashion at the time the dolls were sold. Those years were 1950-1957.

Re: Toni Goes on Vacation

[ Edited ]

@Enufstuff   I go to Myrtle beach, SC most years with two girl friends.  Been going most years since 1995.  We evacuated twice, I think didn't go twice because of hurricanes, and skipped one year.  We beach, swim, sleep, read, even cook.  It's a perfect week, and my first year as a retiree.  We leave our men at home.  It's truly girls week.  Shop, sleep, eat, read.  It's one of my favorite weeks of the year.  We always went Labor Day or the week after.  Used to be so calm.  With more people working remotely from anywhere, the beach seems crowded for after Labor Day.  We rent a house, and it's so much fun.  Weather still great, rentals go way down, and we just really enjoy it.

Also, forgot to mention, I made the blueberry recipe.  It was so good.  I made some as mini muffins, then the rest of the batter in a few mini loaf pans.  Thank you!  I think I got one piece.   SO, he really gobbled it up quickly!

Early 70's, I had a few nautical halter tops.  Still love nautical motifs.  We had a boat in the 90's for maybe 7 or 8 summers.  Loved it!  I know my mom dressed us in a lot of nautical outfits as young kids.  I'm sure your kids were adorable too.

I agree about not dressing infants and toddlers in dark clothes, not my taste either. You have Toni's fashions down pat, yes, your fashions definitely remind me of that era and what we wore!!!  Lovely and happy!!!!!

@lynnie61   Your girls' week sounds wonderful. I think that girl vacations are the best. Shop, sleep, eat and read are my idea of a perfect vacation.

I have never been to Myrtle Beach, but I know people who have vacationed there. Have a fabulous time and hopefully, no hurricanes.

I'm glad that your blueberry muffins were a success. My family has loved them since I started making them in the 70's.

I'll have to make some more, soon. I usually make them a couple of times in the summer. I don't need the calories, but they are so good.

@haddon9   Thank you so much. That was one of the dresses that I sold, and one of my favorites. I have another little sailboat button and more of the fabric. I'll have to make another one to keep for myself.

@Witchy Woman   Thank you so much.

Polka dots, gingham check and seersucker

have been around, it seems forever. But you are right,

some years they seem to be more on trend, than other years.

They do keep coming back and I think that all three are

great spring and summer fabrics. I have used them a lot over my more than sixty years of sewing and in home decor.

In fact, right now my kitchen curtains are red gingham check.
