I know that winter has come early for most of the country, but, according to the calendar, tomorrow, 12/21 is officially the first day of winter.

I always think it is backwards - during the summer the days get shorter, during the winter they get longer.

Even though I live in the Northeast I'm not a fan of winter.The older I get the more it bothers me. I can do without the snow,icey roads & the cold temps! When my DH retires in a few years we may spend a few weeks during the winters in Florida!! I would never move there permanently for two reasons.The first is that my son is here.As long as he stays here I stay!!! The second is that summer's here are really nice as opposed to oppressively hot in Florida!!

Thank goodness for more light.  Not being a winter/cold/snow person I look forward to more light/sun.

My second favorite day (other than a holiday) of the year.  First is always going back to Standard Daylight Time then the longest night of the year.  Stay away Texas heat and sun for as long as possible.
