I love Billy Crystal and will watch him any time I hear he's on.

I feel as if I knew Robin Williams. He was our hometown boy and the whole city loved him. He was always there to help, to come when called. I bumped into him several times, he was always friendly. The first time, we were both walking our bikes down a city street to the same bookstore. He had a terrific Halloween open house for kids every year. He only lived a few blocks from where I lived. I'd say almost everyone in SF had had an encounter with him and felt as if they knew him, he was that special.

I've been gone all day - where did Rosie interview Barbra Streisand???? I saw promos for it but never saw the interview.

I saw a few minutes of the interview when I was doing paperwork this morning. Rosie did an excellent job. She's much more self-assured and mentioned something about turning 50 and the changes she's made. I think that's a good age to be.

I've never watched The View before, just snippets when connected to a past story, but I might tune in. This group of women seems more grounded, more intelligent.
