As a Yankee fan, I remember the world series between the Dodgers and Yankees very well. La Sorda was among the best managers and he put his heart into his job.
May he rest in peace with God, in the world of Sports he stood out!

We met him years ago in a pizza place in Chicago. He was gracious and didn't mind our saying hello to him, even though we were strangers.

I had the pleasure and good fortune to meet him. He was the guest speaker at a military banquet that my husband was being honored at and I had the nicest conversation with him. He sat at our table and during intermission, I struck up a conversation with him and we had the nicest chat. He was a kind and gracious man. I'm glad he got to see the Dodgers will the Worlds Series. May he RIP.
