According to the Daily Mail and the Daily News, there is a third accuser. And according to the LA Times, some staffers felt forced to sign letter in support.

Sometimes a woman is surprised by a "drive-by kiss" from someone she'd never suspect of harboring such thoughts.  Oddly enough, I was just hosting my former manager, and he was relating that a roguish male did that to a woman in our office.

I, too, was caught off-guard by a colleague (different office, different man) who planted one on me out of the blue.  Again, someone I'd never in my wildest think capable of forcing himself upon me.

I think it is just as bad if the women  ,gives in because of promotions,or more money that kind of excuse,as the man.

wow- 3 accusers now for Brokaw?   i thought NBC was wrong not to do an investigation - looked bad.  NBC has one problem after another after another and can little afford more dents in its rep.  bad week with Brokaw and Reid.

My manager, by the way, said that he was compelled to write up the offender (cited in my previous post) because if word got out about the incident and he (my manager) had not reprimanded the masher, he (my manager) would have lost his job.  Of course the masher did not lose his job.

This occurred over 15 years ago in a government office.  Why aren't these women speaking up soon after the offense?

(In truth, I never reported the older gentleman who decided to kiss me because, well, he was an elderly sort with many children and I was leaving the job permanently.  I was in my mid-30s.  Thinking about it now, I still would not report him.  What would be the gain for me and the loss for him?)

@goldensrbest, in your scenario, the man is the aggressor. If the woman gives into temptation, it's consensual, although maybe against the particular workplace rules.

If the woman gives in for reasons that we may think are trivial but are, in fact, important to her (keeping her job, being able to promote at some point, not trusting that TPTB will believe her, etc., ad nauseam),  I can't see how her action is equivalent to the aggressor's.

I feel she has a choice ,she can leave as long as she is not being held against her well ,that is much different ,i feel that she is selling her morals in order to advance in some way, just as wrong in my eyes.

Now the NY Post is reporting that NBC pressured the women to sign the support letter.

Wow.

@Kachina624 I agree but then I didn’t believe a bad word about Bill Cosby in the beginning either.
