My brother died this past August from this cancer, he had just completed an experimental procedure when he passed away. I wish Mr. Brokaw well in his treatments.

It was unexpected and he never complained about it. I hope your Mom and your Dad Seattlegirl did not suffer before they passed away.

Except for the long standing here and my brother's diagnosis, I didn't know much about it.

Thanks to those sweet people who have expressed condolences to us. I must admit, I'm very happy that the Multiple Myeloma thread is here to support those who need it and to exchange help and information. However, I get a little feeling of sadness every time I see that there are so many posts. It's a difficult illness.
