I'm tired of talking about the price increase in eggs and gas.  Over the weekend the plastic hinges on my upstairs bathroom toilet seat snapped.  I checked my Home Depot account and found I purchased that one January 2020 and paid $17.95 for it.  Home Depot has one in stock.  I was expecting it would be about $22.  It's $32.95!  That's some kind of crazy inflation.

Jokes on them.  The Amazon Choice product when I searched for a similar description was $15.98.  It will be here tomorrow.

Is there something you only purchase once every few years and were shocked by the price increase?

It's not something I buy every few years but I recently purchased door levers.  Needed a set of 10.  Hall/closet, bed/bath, dead bolt, keyed entry.  Prices ranged from $98 to high $0's (depending on style).  Ended up costing about $1100.  Ouch!

P.S. I did find one other at a lower price point but they were like plastic.

Funny, I found a brand new, in box, toilet set in my storage shed.  I don't know the story behind that.

But, I needed some little halogen lights for a fixture in my bathroom.  These things are 1.5 inch tall and 1 inch wide.  Lowes has them in a package of 3 for $17.  I need 5.  HD doesn't have the model I need.  Good old Amazon had them 10 for $10.  It's no wonder the big A is so popular.

@RollTide2008  Funny, I saw your title and was sure you were going to tell us about a new, blow-up toilet seat.

In the future probably will be something that will wipe your posterior for you.

I thought air-filled seats had been around for years.  Maybe they got discontinued as I haven't needed a replacement and never bought one of those.

Yes, replacement parts for inside the toilet tank have not only jumped in price, but finding the right one for your tank is a $@#%*!

We've replaced the innerds in both tanks in the last year and it's been 3 trips to Lowes each time to get the one that works.  Everything is a packaged like generic one fits all, but it does not!

Bidets have been around forever.  The good ones also   have a warm air feature that dries you after cleansing with fast water sprays.
