These articles have nothing to do with Fox News and were written by health care professionals - researchers.  

I do understand though @noodleann

This is a hostil thread.  I think the intial poster was trying to say that the reporter coughed onto petri dishes.  Once without a mask and then using various types of masks available.  The masks stopped or reduced the droplets that ended up on the petri dishes.

What I read is that researchers say that this idea needs a LOT more research to even consider.

I don't think anyone can say a mask isn't worth a try. I always wear a cloth one when I go out (which is rare right now) and I always wash them and hang to dry when I get home.
