I hate to say it, because I do like Whoopi Goldberg, but Rosie O really DID do a better job as moderator than Whoopi. It was very pleasant to watch every day.

I can totally understand that WG needs to take the meds. Back pain, and especially with that type of condition, is horrific. But, unfortunately, she seems to be the type of person who gets big and loud when she's buzzing.

I also find her to not be very gracious. Not only did she not mention a single word, last Tuesday when she returned, thanking Rosie O for subbing when she was gone, and doing a great job, she didn't even say anything yesterday except 'Rosie is sick' and moved on. Wouldn't you say something like 'thinking about you and hoping you are well and back soon'?

I don't know - I'm just getting a weird vibe and I also don't do well with people being THAT overbearing.

I'm just now watching today's episode and she just said 'both Rosies aren't here' and that was it. I'm also missing Mario. Smiley Happy

I had had it with Whoopie the day she told Rosie that only she (Whoopie) knows racism when she sees it, even though the Orange is the New Black actress said the same things Rosie did. To me, that's like saying that unless an obstetrician is a woman and has had a baby, he/she isn't qualified to doctor pregnant women.

That was an uncomfortable exchange of opinions.

I've always liked Whoopi but there are times she comes off as a person with a huge chip on her shoulder. I've often thought she "acts a lot smarter" than she really is.

Rosie always starts out very positve and upbeat on talk shows, but eventually she quits the show. Remember her show produced by Oprah?

I know- She kept changing the format. But, the original "Rosie O'Donnell Show" lasted quite a few years. We'll have to see if this job works out for her.

I don't watch the View because last time I did they all talked over each other and I hate that but if Whoopi was having back problems chances are she was on steroids and some kind of pain killer. Steroids make me the most evil person in the whole world. I can't sleep and I become really aggressive on them. Unless it is a very short cycle, I totally refuse them.

Today's show was obviously taped yesterday because of the incoming weather. They were all wearing the same clothes as the day before and used taped pieces like the craft session. Then they interviewed the elderly lady from the audience for about ten minutes to fill in time then ended with the same musical act as the day before. A quick, cobbled together show to get them through.

Yeah, that really was an odd piece-meal episode! I fast-forwarded through quite a bit of it but had the distinct feeling it was a hodgepodge of an episode. I didn't even notice they were wearing the same clothes. D'oh!

I wonder what today will bring. The previous days' freak outs about the weather were a bit much 'ooh, we might get a foot of snow - everybody is going to die'. Yikes! We used to get butt-deep snow for months at a time in the winter and life went on as usual. People have gotten really strange about winter storms, like they are hurricanes or something.

I never watch it but just had it on and oh my gosh it's bad. Rosie and a man were doing a baking segment trying to be funny but were sooo not funny.
