Richard has not been the same since he lost his Mother, It does change us to lose Parents, Aunts, Uncles, it make our life so different and solemn.

Seems like a nice man.  He has helped many over the years, and if he wants his private time now, he's earned it.

I grew up in the 80's/early 90's and I remember Richard from then and I really like him. Earlier this year I read his 2000 autobiography "Still Hungry After All These Years" and really enjoyed it. 

I hope he's doing well. He's always seemed like a sad, depressed person to me and I think it stems from his childhood- being overweight, difficult relationship with his father, and other things.

Yes, and I remember him being a very emotional person, and he cried alot. Watched his show and how he loved to help people eat a good diet to stay healthy.

Richard Simmons was a very cute child.But with a lot of turmoil in his life.
