Today Is Nat'l POPCORN Day. How Do You Make Yours?

Darn, we had ours yesterday! I'm sorry I got rid of the old air-popper because the ones I've seen around now look like junk. We have the Stir-Crazy, though, and love it. As long as the plastic lid's removed (I never let the butter melt that way), the steam isn't an issue and the popcorn is great, not soggy. I butter the popcorn the way Paul Newman did, but I use a spoon instead of a knife; it's a bit faster.

BTW, when I was at Wegmans to get popcorn and butter, the cashier asked me how I made popcorn, and said that she'd only had the bagged, pre-popped kind. How things have changed.
