Like so many others on this thread, I can feel your deep sense of sorrow because I, too, have had to say goodbye to beloved cats and a dog at the veterinarian's office.

The memories of your sweet times will help you after some time has passed.

You took him into your home and made his life beautiful.

Oh my, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your kitty kat - Charlie.  He was a beautiful boy.  And so sweet of him to purr and purr to let you know that it would be OK to let him go.

Tonight you will have that extra crack breaking your heart, but you'll know that you did the right thing.  No sense in having your little pet suffer needlessly, no matter how much it hurts and how much you will miss him.

Focus on the years you had with him and how much you loved him and he loved you.  Losing a pet is very difficult but he had a wonderful life while he was here and that's all that matters.
