Re: To me, this is just ick!

To me what's really gross is, when I'm in a public restroom, and there is a woman, inside a stall, and talking on the phone while she is using a toilet.

Nothing can be so important, that the person on the other end of the line has to hear you pee and/or take a dump as you talk with them.

As I was reading, I thoight, " well I guess I don' think that's so bad. i don't touch unless I have a paper towel or even better, a no touch bathroom. ". By the end, I felt grossed out. Smiley Sad(

Re: To me, this is just ick!

When I was in Vancouver BC, a couple of years ago, a Department Store restroom that I was in, had a sign at the sinks, that said something like, "Brushing your teeth? Please use a vanity stall". The vanity stalls were just a larger stall. They had a sink, and a mirror, with nice lighting. I guess the idea was, others might not want to see you brush your teeth, and, you could fuss with your make up, without blocking someone else, who, just needed to wash their hands.

Re: To me, this is just ick!

Well, We have done a lot of camping all over the country. So, in that situation it is the norm. But I have seen a woman in a rest stop along the highway brushing her false teeth in the sink. She then laid her tooth brush on the counter to run them under the water. That kind of grossed me out. {#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

Re: To me, this is just ick!

One day at work I went into the ladies room and a co-worker was washing her feet in the sink. I'd much rather someone brush their teeth than wash their feet in the communal sink.

It's not the germ part that bothers me, it's the sound!{#emotions_dlg.laugh} I can't stand hearing strangers make all those noises and then spit, spit, spit, gargle..... Gross. I work with someone who does that and if you happen to be in there at the same time, she talks to you while she's brushing her teeth. {#emotions_dlg.ohmy} I can't get out of there fast enough.

Re: To me, this is just ick!

I see nothing wrong w it IF you have your toothbrush in a case and of course you don't touch the toothbrush on the sink! My husband actually brushes and or flosses daily after lunch at work. Has had 1 cavity since I met him in 1999. Every time he comes home from the dentist I say look ma no cavities? (For a joke like the old commercial!...lol). So it must help. (Really I think he just has great strong teeth but ya never know? It could be that lunch time ritual).

Re: To me, this is just ick!

Maybe it was just yesterday that it bothered me. I've used the camping shower houses and that doesn't bother me. Our building at work does not have the cleanest of bathrooms and yesterday morning having this toothpaste frothing woman next to me spitting and drooling at the sink just bothered me. I personally get ready for work at home, not after I get to work.

Public restrooms in general just disgust me. I can't imagine brushing my teeth in one.

I've used those Wisp brushes before. I don't do those things in public though.
