@Mindy D   West Nile scares me more than CoVi19.  Fortunately, I have virtually no mosquitoes at my house, however, my mom lived about a mile from me and she died of it in 2003.  For a long time she was the only person in our area to die of it but she lived on a golf course that wasn't aerating their ponds.  Lots of standing water from sprinklers.

It has horrible potential side-effects if it doesn't kill you.

We had our first case in NM in early June but it usually doesn't peak until August.

We also have cases of blubonic plague and hanta virus in rural areas of the state every summer.

If one doesn't get you, another might.

And we continue to think of "natural" as always good.  HA!

If they are experiencing an outbreak of West Nile then it is a sure bet that Zika is not far behind and possibly an increase in dengue fever.  Unfortunately, the symptoms of each are very similar to those of covid.

The eyes through which you see others may be the same as how they see you.

Florida is not the only state with this problem. My part of Ohio put out a warning this morning. Other states will follow.

Because of the way Covid was handled initially, states are going to be much more proactive with known strategies of response and containment efforts of West Nile.😐
