Harper Lee (88) has agreed to allow TKAM to be distributed in electronic format. The release date will be July 8th.

That is great news. Always been one of my favorites. Was shocked to hear that TKAM is being banned by some school districts as well as some Toni Morrison books.

Really? I hadn't heard, but that's indeed awful, IMO. I think TKAM is a great teaching tool on many levels.

TKAM is required reading in our school district's 9th grade English class. I can't imagine why it would be banned, but then I don't believe in banning books ever. Besides, best way to get everyone to read a book is to ban it. ${#emotions_dlg.devil2}$ People like the forbidden fruit! And It's a great story.
