Plz put some respect on her name!

@Mindy D was the instrumental one.  She told you about the resource.

And, she suggested that we should set a new forum on ProBoards.  It was her idea and we did.

GOOD FOR HER!

Indeed.  I'd like to see more gratitude in her direction as well as those lamenting how quickly it was to put together the new forum.  I've not seen her mentioned much and she SHOULD BE!  @Carmie

I sent an email and a letter in the mail. I also unsubscribed to QVC emails. Thank you to all who posted the email and address. His email must've been bombarded, I feel that's why the bold words "WE HEARD YOU".

What happened to the email reply you received?

It sounded like we would be asked for our input and hear something next week.

@magicmoodz   When a Moderator takes down a post because it is considered to be controversial it means it will cause a dispute or conflict of opinion.  Of course it is the opinion of the Moderator that it is controversial,

and in reality maybe it isn't.  Woman Frustrated

Yes. You made my point exactly. What in life isn't controversial? More important than sharing our personal opinions is the manner in which we deliver them. To me personal attacks, name-calling, compulsive lying, etc are all cause for the offending post to be removed.

I don't see you offering anyone, including Mindy, any gratitude for working to get the new forums up and running.  All of your posts have been very negative.

I guess you have not looked in the right places for my accolades of Mindy D.  Finally, you wouldn't see me giving anyone (other than Mindy D) any credit for anything regarding the new boards.  I don't benefit by what has been accomplished @Carmie .  The people that are grateful, I assume ~ should be.  That does NOT include me.  I will not benefit by the new boards as I have/had no intention of joining.

Let's take the focus off of me and take it back to our comrade (Mindy D).  Shout her out and tell everyone who has a new place to chat to thank her too.  One of the best posters on these forums deserve pat or two on the back.  I dare you.

Don't comment to me any further about that forum or this forum please.  I'd like to move on to other threads here by now.

I think it was your efforts that had a huge impact in keeping this board operational. When someone new walks in to a position to a barrage of complaints, I am quite certain it caught his attention and he immediately wanted answers and a quick fix put in place.

I only hope other changes can follow. I have long thought it inappropriate to poof an entire thread when there was clearly only one offending poster. Poof only the post in question and if it is a repeat offender perhaps banning for a period of time that is meaningful.

And board guidelines need to be clarified--like what exactly does controversial mean? That is pretty subjective.

But back to you warriors out there--job well done!👏👏👏

@magicmoodz

I'm sure it was a contributing factor, but I doubt it was the only factor considered in the decision to keep the boards open.  From what I observed, there was considerable pushback from many, many posters here.

Looking at the cost-benefit ratio, I'm guessing that they reevaluated the actual cost to keeping these boards open and the bad press and customer and sales loss they could see coming ... and just before the holidays, no less!   Talk about a public relations nightmare.  Sheesh.

While message boards on any retailers' site may not exactly be a profit center, trying to eliminate something that been around for many years would not be in the best interest of that company's PR and image.   JMO
