I wonder if he's read founder Joe Levine's mission statement for QVC?  Those were the q's Golden Days which everyone heading the company since has strayed farther and farther away from.😢

Are you talking about Joseph Segal?

@mom2four0418  Was that his name? I'm talking about QVC's founder. His son used to sell Lite Bites.

FB isn't a young person's platform of choice anymore.  I agree with those who pointed that out.  Guess QVC is behind the curve again.

WSJ wrote an article on him and why he was hired by QVC.  He even said it’s important that people that look like are him are ‘represented’.

QVC is now officially “woke”.

I don't believe for one minute that sales will go up by trying to move all of us over to Facebook. I see sales declining and accounts closing.

@sonson

This also baffles me ... why would I ever want to go to facebook?   Ugh

3. 32% of 12–34 year-olds use Facebook the most

Of all U.S. social media users surveyed, 32% of those aged 12–34 identified Facebook as the social media platform that they used the most often. This is a drastic drop from only five years ago when the top usage was at 58%

4. 86% of internet users with $100k+ income use Facebook

The distribution of internet users using Facebook is relatively similar among all U.S. household income levels. The lowest percentage is 81% of $60–$70k earners and the highest is 88% of $30–$60k earners. For advertisers, this is good news because it means that your tailored ads can target different income levels without worrying about a low target count.

@golding76 I'm 73 and doubt that the "younger generation" does any QVC shopping! So I doubt changing formats will attract them.

I know my 20 something GD wouldn't be caught DEAD watching Q or buying from them.

Agreed!   Even a bit older my 35 year old daughter would never buy here.

There is nothing wrong with an older demographic.  Older buyers often have a larger disposable income.  The Q just needs to stay current to keep that demographic engaged.

There's the cost of whatever they pay that IT crew to keep swapping our names, making reviews invisible, and changing time zones in the program guide.

Then of course there are the costs of staffing the mods positions.

I'm sure there are legal fees associated with this, and the cost of ongoing security associated with customer info/passwords.

OTOH, a high percentage of my purchases were influenced by comments from fellow posters.

I have things in my house I just love, and I never would've bought them but for posts here.

A feature being complained about may be just the feature that makes it right for me.☺

Agreed!  I spend a lot here each year and a good percentage of that is from comments and discussions of items posted here.

I mentioned this in my email to David Rawlinson.  I felt that they are overlooking the fact that many buy Q products from the postings here.

I was watching this show yesterday and they were talking about Facebook I guess because it was down and not functioning.  Anyway, the young people were saying -- who cares?  They can get rid of it --- none of us use it any more since the "old people" started using it and took over it!  They said as long as we have "tik tok"!  I don't know if I spelled "tik tok" right.  Shows you how much I know about this stuff!
