Our daughter had twin boys in January. One has hyproplastic left heart syndrome. One surgery down and 2 more to go. We are all missing a part of our heart untill he gets to come home. Best wishes to you and the little one you are waiting for. It is so hard but it has also opened my eyes to how many truly  good hearted people there are in this world.

Thanks, violann.  Last week, I visited my tiny little twin granddaughters for a few days.  They're in NICU and will be there for at least another month.

They're slowly making progress and having some of the tubes/monitoring devices taken away.  The nurses and doctors caring for them are so dedicated.  They're in good hands!

I don't know if there was a post from you about someone in your family having preemies?  I didn't check this site while I was traveling.

ZenWen, your little grandson has been through so much.  I wish him the best with his surgeries.  Please update us from time to time

Our sweet boy will be in the NICU too, but the doctors who will be taking care of him won't know until he arrives how long he'll have to stay.

When is his expected due date?  Please keep us posted. I pray everything goes well and he is out of danger as soon as possible.

Jasper has had the most dangerous of the 3 surgeries used to reroute things in the heart for babies for hypoplastic left heart syndrome. It is called the Norwood. He is doing fine. Doctors are now working on weaning him off of the ventilator and off of the pain meds he is given. We fell blessed that he came thru it fine. In about 3 months he will have the Glenn surgery and at 3 to 4 years, the Fontanne. The next 2 surgeries are not nearly as risky. Hoping he gets to come home before the Glenn in 3 months. Hope all of your special angel babies are thriving and healing. Hugs to all of you!

ZenWen...it sounds like it's going to take time, but Jasper will do well now that the riskiest part of this is over.

My granddaughters have gained a few more ounces, and one has been moved to an open isolette.   Her sister should graduate to that in a few days.

"Our" baby will be born in mid-May, and will also begin surgeries as soon as his doctors deem advisable.

Can't wait to pinch his cheeks, hug him, and rock him to sleep.

With you all in spirit, Ladies! Every small victory is a joy!
