I go days with no phone calls...Then today got two wrong numbers! This is a land line.

Hi, Tyak! These robo-calls have nothing to do with the "Do Not Call Registry." They use an automated system which scrolls numerically through random phone numbers, hoping someone will pick up, definitely hoping someone will talk or press a button so they know they've found a "live" phone number. Best thing is not to answer at all, and check out Nomorobo to see if it's available for you.

I tried but my carrier doesn't support it. I did call the number to request that they do.
