I hate this commercial? Go commando you're so clean. Argh!!!! Too many visual images are conjured up.

@Vivian Florimond wrote:I agree that all the ads mentioned here are absolutely awful. To me, though, the ads for prescription drugs are all terrible. Just listening to those side effects is reason enough to keep discussion of these medications in doctors'offices and pharmacies. As far as I know, only one other country allows these kinds of ads. I really wish they would stop. Drumming up demand via ads for potentially dangerous drugs is the height of irresponsibility.
YES. Why would ANYONE want to risk taking those drugs. The cure sounds worse than the ailment, especially when they say, "and in some cases....death."

I really hate the commercial about investing with the guy sewing vests...followed by the guy talking about "retiring" and tire this and that. REALLY? LOL Anyway would be much easier to name one of the very few clever commercials that have given me a smile. LOL. I like the one for Southwest Airlines featuring the guy who spots who he thinks is a gorgeous blonde sitting on the couch. As he passes by other potential women dates he then finds out the couch blonde is a dog. And then the embarrassment begins HAAAAAAAAAAA! Love it
I enjoy the dog water ballet on that insurance commercial.

The weirdest part is that bears don't wear pants anyway.

Perhaps he should start dating the colon girl from the IBS with diarrhea commercial. Seems like they would even each other out.

@elruth That is one creepy lady!
@CelticCrafter and @elruth -
This 'creepy lady' (Laura Wernette) had been selected from hundreds of people ... yes, hundreds of people auditioning for the spot.
(from the AgencySpy)
The pretzel company, Snyder's of Hanover selected the ad agency: 'Barton F. Graf launched a new campaign for Snyder’s of Hanover infused with the agency’s trademark absurdism.' ...
Barton F. Graf executive creative director Ian Reichenthal, added that the selection for the right spokesperson was a laborious process, stating, “We cast hundreds and hundreds of people” searching for the right fit before deciding on Laura Wernette, who embodied “a mom with the swagger of Telly Savalas.” Wernette worked hard to stay in character between sets, Reichenthal noted, practicing lines “while sitting in a Chesterfield chair and holding an empty scotch glass.”' ...

As soon as I saw the ad for V.I.Poo, I knew that feathers were going to be ruffled! *lol*
Seriously, our commercials are tame when you compare it to what is shown in other countries!
I think some people would faint if they saw what is shown over there!
At the very least, they would be clutching their pearls! *lol*
I hope you have your pearls handy. I think this one is from the U.K....

I rarely laugh outloud at these things, but this one did it. I even have tears I got to laughing so hard. It just tickled my funny bone.

I like those insurance ads, too. In fact, the one with dogs pulling the pizza off the stove, catching the house on fire, is almost true. It happened here a few months before the ad came out, where the dogs turned on the stove somehow by pulling food off the stove and it burned down the mobile home. Now, I think they are based on something that happened, not really funny to who it happened to, but putting a twist on the event makes it clever.
