I just saw an interview with his son on Morning Joe. I literally teared up just hearing his voice!

It's the 10th anniversary of "Big Russ and Me" and Luke has penned a new intro.

Journalism lost a great one - Meet the Press will never be the same.

As important as he became to television journalism, he never forgot where he came from, and never stopped coming back home.

I miss Tim Russert too. A really good journalist. I haven't watched "Meet the Press" since he died. Gone too soon, that's for sure, 6 years next month.

Tim was so upset when he had to put his dad in a home...I think that contributed to his stress level.

His childhood home burned to the ground about a year ago...the old crowd at the AmVets (including my uncle, who had drinks & a fish fry with Big Russ every Friday)...they are all gone too.

With time, his achievements appear even greater (now that we see the replacement!)

I miss him, too......I cried when I heard the news...watched all the coverage during that sad time....and I do not watch Meet the Press any longer....

My daughter works in DC, she said she used to see him a lot in a certain little restaurant/cafe near her old office in Chevy Chase.

I still miss his commentary... especially last presidential election when he was not there... It will be very hard to fill his shoes.
