From Newsweek an hour ago. Stay on the alert our Knoxville friends!
A massive hunt is underway for a tiger on the loose in Knoxville, TN.
The creature was spotted by a Knox County Sheriff's deputy roaming around the Forks of the River Industrial Park on Wednedsay night.
After raising the alarm, a team of specialists scrambled to the area and began scouring the estate for the creature.
The sheriff's patrol units have been joined by animal control, air watch, Knoxville Police Department's Animal Control Unit and Tiger Haven.
So far the team has been unable to locate the tiger and there have been no further sightings.
The Forks of the River Industrial Park is a sprawling estate covering 1,460 acres.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.

@goldensrbest they don't know where it came from or anything. Tiger Haven's tigers are all accounted for. You can read the article at wbir.com

It must have been someone's pet. I wonder if the owner with come forward, or, if he/she was keeping it illegally, will lay low..
I hope they can tranquilize it rather than shoot-to-kill.

Oh no, the local news in Knoxville TN is saying that both the Knoxville Zoo and that Tiger Haven, a big cat rescue sanctuary in Roane County TN, have accounted for all their tigers.
TWRA (Tennessee WIldlife Resources Agency) has joined in with the local animal patrol and assistance from Tiger Haven in setting a trap to catch the tiger.
Let's hope it works!

There has been just one sighting, by a single deputy, in the night?
Is it possible he was wrong?
