I am so angry right now and I've just about had it with QVC! Occasionally, I'll post a review of an item and it always showed the nickname I use here.

 

Today I got an email asking me if I could answer a question about something I reviewed, I answered it, then got an email that my reply was now live.  BUT they used my real name on-line vs my nickname when responding to the question AND changed my nickname on the original review to my real name!

 

I am beyond unhappy that they changed things and used my real name.  Maybe this isn't an issue for some people but it is for me and I'm just about DONE!   😡

You should email the social team & tell them how you feel.

That situation sounds weird and I agree to notify the social team about it.

I don't think they should use your real name unless they ask you first if it's ok. 🤷‍♀️

@Melzie.  Yes, by all means let the social team know immediately.  They don't have anything to do with reviews but can make sure that's corrected.  Should not happen.

I agree with you!  They should NEVER be using our real names.  This creates a way for people to link it with our nickname and then on from there!  Talk about a security risk!

@Melzie - I can't believe this thread because just last night I was about to start one about the same thing!

 

I responded to an email asking for a review a couple of weeks ago and was stunned to see it submitted with my real name, instead of my nic, which they always used to use.

 

I thought maybe it was just if I respond to an email now, so yesterday I tried to write a review about a product.

 

Same thing!  At the bottom it said "Will be submitted as XXXXXX (my name)".

 

It didn't give any option to choose a different name or use my nic.  Well, no way, so they'll never get another review from me.  Their loss - it was a 5-star review!

 

ETA:  I think notifying the Social Team is a good idea, so that we can at least find out, if this is a new intentional change.

@Venezia.  I checked a couple I wrote yesterday, including an answer to a question.  They were okay.
