There were multiple storms and tornado warnings here in the St. Louis area and just outside the area yesterday with reports of golf ball size hail and "tea cup" size hail. A small tornado touched down in the northern side of St. Louis county no significant damage but there was touchdown and damage in Illinois . Hail broke windows of most of the cars on a car sales lot as it moved across the area. I lost power briefly but all is well. There was no hail in my local area. The news reported Tornados in Ohio with several deaths as it moved across the country. The weather reporter says we had a total of 5 tornado warnings for different areas as the storms passed.    I do hope everyone here made it thru the storms ok.   Hope that's not what Spring is going to be like this year !

In my opinion, this is the scariest of weather because of the lack of time to prepare for safety. That and wildfires out west :::sigh::: I live in hurricane land with plenty of warning, so lucky in that sense. Its the tornados that can come with hurricanes that scare me. 

@Goodie2shoes i am glad you are ok. My best wishes for you and others in the midwest and tornado alley.

I know how frightening tornadoes can be. The rain wrapped ones scare me the most. You cannot see where they are. I hope everyone stays safe and out of harm's way.

That's what Spring is.  It's  violent weather. You've got the clash between increasingly warmer surface air and upper cold air.  There are occasional beautiful days, but they wane away into violent days.  In Maryland we don't get a lot of tornadoes.  They tend to be rare, but we do get Derecho which is worse then tornadoes. I hate Spring, plus I get sinus trouble with the pollen.  So it's my least favorite time.  So much to look forward to...
