The "gift grab" comments always leave me shaking my head. As someone who has hosted these events...many times...I will say that the hosts often spend more of their own money to put on a nice luncheon, or whatever, than the giftee receives in gifts.

But that isn't the point...we just want to get people together to have a nice time and wish the honoree well...whether it's a wedding or baby shower.

People who feel it's a gift grab should just not take part.

Yes, that was partly why such controversy. Not all were crooked and some of the girls thought that the ones that were receiving crooked ones were loony. ${#emotions_dlg.lol}$

There was a thread one time, I believe started by MGM or mgm, that was sort of a run-on of a story. We all added our own twists and turns to it and it was a lot of fun. I posted with people I'd never gotten along with....lol.....all in good fun.

Then there was a post started by Croemer, correct me if I'm wrong, but it was titled something like "Slap your Grandmother" or something like that....title or verse of a country song. We all added other weird verses.
