lol, did I say this was the most annoying thing in my life?

I didn't even say it was annoying.  I asked why posters do it and remarked that I think it's rude.

I think I'm seeing why I rarely even start a thread on these boards.  People are ready with their stock retorts which make little sense.

Exactly my point! All caps is not a big deal. The subject really makes little sense. There are many reasons for someone using all caps and a thread devoted to those purposely using caps in a way that some might find only feeds that behavior. Ignoring it is more likely to lead to the behavior ending. And, if not, then mentioning it serves no purpose.

It does not bother me at all when thread titles in caps certainly does not seem rude - why would you think that - in fact easier to read.

@dulwich

Seems to me it used to be considered "yelling" when people expressed themselves in all caps online.

And that was considered bad form.

Maybe these days no one cares or sees it that way.

btw, I don't find it easier to read at all.

Anything that makes it easier to read is fine with me, this is just manufactured outrage .

haha, it's not "outrage", just a question and a comment.

You all are funny.

I think I'll go back to housecleaning now.  I was just wondering why all the titles in CAPS.

Have fun telling me how distressed I am about it!!

Again, I didn't say it was a "big deal".

It was simply a question.  A question and a comment about it.

Your response makes no sense.

I do not think it is important enough to start a thread about it.

I hope everyone and anyone whose thread titles are always in all caps continues to use them.  It is not at all the same thing as using all caps in the body of the message.

It doesn't bother me. Some people do it because of vision (their own). Ive posted on a thread where I increased my font because a poster was vision impaired. Its all good, imo

Typing in all caps is considered yelling in Internet etiquette. However, I would consider giving the age group of many posters on this site, typing in caps may be due to vision issues. I would not assume it’s being rude or wanting attention.

@Love my grandkids, I posted a few times on that thread and did not even realized that the title was in all Caps. I just went back and saw it. I know i don´t pay a lot of attention to many things but that certainly does not bother me.

Nobody has mentioned this, but I decided to be proactive.  I try to always use #3 front in bold to make reading easier.  I guess knowing a few people with vision issues has prompted me to do this.  It really makes messages much easier to read.

Thank you, I love bold print especially since I just completed eye surgery on both eyes. Still healing and easier for me to read.

Thank you !
