This is horrible. I have visited Ottawa many times. It is a beautiful, peaceful city. They are not reporting any terrorist connections but I fear they will announce that eventually, especially given what happened this week in Québec, where a soldier was killed by a radicalized native. My thoughts and prayers go out to our Canadian friends. I visit at least once a year and love Canada and its people. I am saddened, and angered, by this event.

I'm surprised that only the news channels are reporting here. The major networks haven't broken into regular programming. I would think it would be considered pretty major news.

We have never started a war but have stood side by side with our allies and suffered great losses in the pursuit of maintaining democracy and freedom.
